Genetic Services
Flower Origin
Sample Input: Honey, Bee Swab or Hive Swab
Cost: $250/sample AUD, incl. GST, excl. postage of swab collection kit
Minimum Sample(s): One.

Turnaround: 4-6 weeks
What is returned?
A spreadsheet of all flower pollen and microbes detected and their DNA abundance.

Beverage Microbe Profile
Sample Input: 5mL of either wine, beer, or any beverage
Cost: $250/sample AUD, incl. GST
Minimum Sample(s): One.

Turnaround: 4-6 weeks
What is returned?
A spreadsheet of all bacteria and fungi detected in the sample
Phone call consultation of the results.
Whole Genome Sequence
Sample Type: Mouth Swab, Blood, Skin Biopsy, Leaf or Stem.
Cost: $750/sample AUD, incl. GST, excl. postage of collection kit.
The price is for mammals and is dependent on the species. Please enquiry for a price for non-mammal species.
Minimum Sample(s): One. Enquire for discounts when doing 6+ samples.
Turnaround: 4-6 weeks
What is returned?
A spreadsheet of DNA variants detected and where possible their associations with traits and diseases.
Inbreeding statistics.
With 2+ samples, relatedness and breeding outcome probabilities.
Phone consultation of the results.
Optional: Raw DNA sequencing data, sent by post on external hard drive.
Animal Microbiome Profile
Sample Type: Mouth Swab or Faecal
Cost: $250/sample AUD, incl. GST, excl. postage of collection kit
Minimum Sample(s): One. Enquire for discounts when doing 12+ samples.
Turnaround: 4-6 weeks
What is returned?
A spreadsheet of all microbes detected and their DNA abundance.
Where possible, a description of each microbe’s importance in regards to the animal.
Phone call consultation of the results.
